If you wanted to watch Netflix what would you use? A computer? A phone? A Tablet, Xbox, PlayStation, or Roku? There are a lot of options to choose from for just watching one service. What about if you wanted to watch cable TV? Well you would just use your cable box that the cable company gives you and charges you monthly for. This adds up to over $230 per year, and if you have multiple TVs prepare to pay for multiple boxes.

A lot of internet providers around the world love to have data cap limits on your internet. If you want to go over some will charge you per GB or even TB (if you are reading this from a time period where TB is the new standard).

It makes sense though, right? I mean just like when you use more electricity, natural gas, or water you should pay more. More usage = more costs?

Car modification to the extreme!

While driving at night one… night… I saw a car that the owner just had to modify to the “EXTREME!”. It appeared be a Geo Metro originally and then some madman came up with a hacksaw and took the top back portion off. Of course I took a picture and had my rear passenger take one just to make sure we capture this piece of art on film… digitally.

6 Kids Custom License PlateEveryone has seen custom license plates before. Some make sense. Others don’t. As I was driving home one day, I saw this one custom license plate that said “6 Kids”. It made me think for a moment. Why would anyone get a license plate which says that? Why would you want the world to know you have six children?

Black Friday: Bane of Shoppers & Workers

Ah Black Friday. The day after Thanksgiving where many stores offer great deals on select items in an attempt to get people to shop at them for Christmas. It is a headache for the shoppers and store employees alike. Even before you get to the store it becomes a headache just from driving in the traffic. The parking lots are packed as you try to find one single open spot remotely close to the store you want to get into.

Y2K – New Millennium or Gregorian Impostor?

Y2KY2K was an important year for many reasons. First was the belief that many computers were going to stop working since they worked on the notion that last two digits stood for the current year in 19xx. Since there would now be 2 zeros in the last spot, a lot of computer were going to ready 1900 instead of 2000. This was causing a lot of panic about vast areas shutting down due to this error.
